Birds In Their Habitat Art Exhibit

Last weekend, I was privileged to participate in the first "Birds In Their Habitat Art Exhibit and Sale at the CT Audubon Society Center in Fairfield. This fundraiser for the benefit of educational programming was well attended by the local community. It was especially great to see so many inquisitive children among the visitors.

A special treat on Sunday afternoon was the opportunity to photograph two beautiful birds of prey who live in buildings behind the main center. Milton, a barn owl and the lovely bard owl Lucy cooperatively perched on their handler's gloved hand.

Later, a visitor to the show presented me with a nest found in her backyard. That's one of Lucy's feathers in that nest. The souvenirs will be appear in a new scan soon.
